Challenges and Solutions
Theo Salet, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at Eindhoven University of Technology, took the more than 30 participants through the challenges facing construction and how digitization can be the solution.
Ralph Mamadeus talked about his organization Change =, a developer who, at the height of the crisis, came up with a plan for affordable housing for working youth. A concept where not only housing is provided, but where the residents form a community and residents encourage each other to be the best they can be. Housing is complemented by all kinds of relevant services, from going out and leisure activities to community building.
Maarten Janssen, architect of Econstruction, discussed how Econstruction works according to a brand idea (Mooduul) and discussed the newly founded Mooduul BV. A software application that will control the entire construction process from design drawing, to production in the factory and execution on site, completely digitally and integrally. This application was developed by 2 cluster members, Festa and PulseDC.
Monuments Watch and National Real Estate Agency also shared their experiences with software in the field of sustainability and reuse of real estate.
