The economic development company Brainport Development is working with many partners to strengthen the Brainport Eindhoven region. Brainport, with Eindhoven at its heart, is a world-class top technology region and the growth accelerator of the Dutch economy.
Entrepreneurs, educational institutions and governments in the 21 municipalities of South-East Brabant form a unique location climate for the high-tech manufacturing industry, in which they compete by working together, develop by changing, multiply by sharing, perform by pioneering and predict the future by inventing it.
Digitization is a global trend that is radically changing industries, both large companies and SMEs. New business models and sectors are emerging as a result of far-reaching digitization, a data-driven economy and the digital connection between devices and means of production. It is crucial for Brainport to be at the forefront of this trend in order to maintain its competitive position and create employment.
A successful digital transition of the manufacturing industry is a rock-solid condition for this. With this in mind, Brainport Development has launched the High Tech Software Cluster to support SMEs. The High Tech Software Cluster is an association of technology companies, research organizations and educational institutions that work together to make the digitization (industry 4.0) of a company affordable and practical.
