King Willem-Alexander officially opens the Brainport Industries Campus

The Brainport Industries Campus in Eindhoven was officially opened on Thursday, October 3. The grand opening was a special day and an important milestone for the high-tech industry.

The King's visit drew a lot of attention to the new campus. About 1,500 people were invited to the official opening.

The King was given a tour of the Campus, after which the official part of the program began. During the program, the King activated a high-tech robot, which then finished a Coin. This Coin later became part of the artwork that can be seen at the entrance of the Campus. This made the opening of the Campus official.

In addition to the King's Coin, the coins of the established companies are also part of the artwork. Thus, the coin of the High Tech Software Cluster is also part of the artwork.

During the opening day, there were several activities to do and see at the Software Competence Center, includingArtificial Intelligence(AI) in the industrial environment, by:

  • Playing "Four in a Row" against a computer provided by member Alten.
  • Image demonstration model controlled engineering, provided by member Cordis.
  • Experience Security Robot This rides around and reports suspicious cases, provided by member Diginova.

In short: it was a great day to remember.
