Metaverse developer Fectar joined High Tech Software Cluster

's-Hertogenbosch, Metaverse developer Fectar joined the High Tech Software Cluster (HTSC) in April. This collaboration fits in with the organizational development that Fectar is going through, in which the company is increasingly moving from VR and AR software developer to innovative business partner.

The High Tech Software Cluster consists of about thirty software development companies and is located in the Software Competence Center (SCC) at the Brainport Industries Campus (BIC) in Eindhoven. The cluster focuses on innovative technological developments in the manufacturing industry.
Eugène Kuipers, Chief Executive Officer of Fectar: "We believe in working together within an innovative ecosystem. That way, the specific knowledge and expertise of different parties come together in end-to-end solutions." Kuipers expects to be able to further strengthen the innovative character of Fectar within the HTSC context. "For us, this offers an excellent opportunity to give innovation even more hands and feet and to work together with great companies and clients within Brainport Eindhoven, an innovative high-tech environment with international allure."

Making innovation tangible

Fectar is strongly committed to innovation in the field of applicable VR and AR, also known as Metaverse, so that companies can reduce costs, increase quality and grow sales. Rens Lensvelt, Chief Technology Officer at Fectar, expects the HTSC to provide every opportunity for this. "We want to translate the new possibilities of Virtual and Augmented Reality into practical use cases. We do this not only by putting down cool technology, but also by making sure that real long-term added value is created, so that innovative solutions become tangible and are actually used."

Within the HTSC, Fectar intends to work intensively with parties engaged in developing cutting-edge technologies and solutions in the new 3D world. "Our extensive knowledge of the Metaverse's capabilities complements that high-quality business knowledge seamlessly," Lensvelt states. "In this way, together we develop the high-tech solutions that the market is looking for. We can help the other parties within the cluster to create future-proof propositions and marketable solutions."

Metaverse expertise

HTSC Manager Wim Renders says: "Although the Metaverse still raises questions for many, there is also a lot of demand for this expertise for the manufacturing industry. It is now important to take this technology deployment from proof-of-concept to an industrial application if you ask me. Fectar is going to play an important role in that in my opinion."

About the High Tech Software Cluster

The High Tech Software Cluster, a project of Brainport Development, belongs to the official Smart Industry Fieldlabs and is part of the innovation program 'Factory of the Future'. This program was drawn up by companies, knowledge institutions, education and industry associations in close cooperation with the province of North Brabant and the Brabant Development Company (BOM).

By working together to realize faster and smarter products and production processes and sharing (innovation) facilities, a lower cost level, higher product quality and, above all, a faster time to market can be achieved. A total of about 75 companies and 6 knowledge institutions are affiliated with the innovation program. The facilities for the Factory of the Future are currently being realized on the site of Brainport Industries Campus.
